About the Lion Band:
Walkersville
High School's marching band has developed a reputation for excellence
since its inception. It is currently under the direction of
Windy Neal with the assistance of many other staff members
(see instructors).
The
Marching Lions are currently involved in Tournament of Bands competition in
Chapter 5 and have been since 2000 (for more information on TOB, click
here.) Prior to 2000, the Lions competed in Chapter 13.
They also play a pregame show and perform at half-time for all
home football games.
The
Lion Marching Band was the TOB Chapter 13 Champions for 1994 and
1996-1997 and the Chapter 5 Champions in 2002 and 2004-2005. The
band has performed at the Atlantic Coast Championships (ACCs)
in 1985, 1994, 1996-2002, and 2004-2005.
The

was 7th place with a score of 93.05 in 2006.
The

at Frederick HS in Frederick, MD on October 1st, 1983. The band
was a group 1 that year, and they finished the season at Chapters
